Job Profile Mechanical Inspector

 

Our client’s Inspection Unit ensures that all purchased commodities are shipped in compliance with controlled technical requirements. Through specialist in-house expertise, supported by a network of contracted leading agencies, they drive comprehensive source inspection and quality monitoring programs. Quality assurance is also guaranteed through periodical assessments of approved manufacturers and quality surveys of new manufacturers.

 

  • Planning, scheduling and performing inspection visits to manufacturers to verify compliance with the purchase order requirements.
  • Planning, scheduling and performing monitoring visits on project orders to verify compliance with our client’s requirements and performance of inspector of the LSTK contractor.
  • Assessing the quality management systems of various manufacturing locations.
  • Reviewing material and testing certificates to verify compliance with the purchase order requirements.
  • Planning, scheduling, assigning, directing and reviewing the work of Inspection Agencies.
  • Assessing and monitoring the work of Inspection Agencies and their inspectors.
  • Providing consultation and interpretation of Standards, etc.
  • Reviewing and recommending changes, as required, to standards, etc.

 

Candidate Profile Mechanical Inspector

 

  • HTS Diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree).
  • 8-11 years experience in the petrochemical industry and with quality assurance/quality control engineering.
  • 3 years experience in quality management assessment, preferably certified.
  • Knowledge of American National Codes.
  • Must be capable of handling a heavy volume of work and perform effectively and efficiently under pressure. 
  • Solid working knowledge of manufacturing and/or fabrication processes.
  • Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly and concisely in English at a level required to perform the job as outlined.
  • Experience with computer programs, such as Word, Excel and Access.
