Our client, a global trust company with an international office in Amsterdam, is looking for an experienced and client orientated IT Technician to join their growing team.

 

Job Profile       

 

The IT Technician is responsible for providing IT services and operational activities to our clients internal businesses and users.

 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Perform operational and support activities for IT services.
  • Work with local teams to deliver a reliable service to the end-users.
  • Take responsibility for specific technical subjects.
  • Deployment, monitoring, maintenance, infrastructure development, upgrade and support of IT systems, including servers, PCs OS, hardware, software and peripherals.
  • Ensure assets such as IT hardware, software and equipment are properly managed.
  • Implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.
  • Develop business cases as appropriate, including justification and cost/benefit analysis for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of the IT strategy by making recommendations.

Candidate Profile

  • MUST BE business fluent in English. Other languages are considered a plus.
  • MUST have at least 4 to 6 years related work experience.
  • MUST have MCITP/MCSE or MCSA certified.
  • Must have strong technical knowledge of server hardware, network, PC and server operating systems, including MS XP and MS server 2003/2008.
  • Must have strong technical knowledge of at least three of the following core infrastructure products:
    • MS Exchange
    • MS Active Directory
    • MS SQL/SSRS
    • Altiris
    • Citrix
    • MS SharePoint
  • Good technical and hands on knowledge of virtualisation technology (ideally MS Hyper V).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to present ideas in a language understood by non-IT people both written and spoken.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high pressure environment.
  • Must have a flexible approach to working hours as occasional evening and weekend work is require to meet deadlines.
