Our international client, a provider of management, accounting, legal and administration services for the private equity industry, multinational corporations, and real estate funds are looking for an all round office assistant / secretary with experience in a legal and finance working environment join their team.

 

Please note: our client is relocating to Amsterdam in the 3rd quarter of 2010 and only candidates who are able to relocate or commute (if residing within reasonable distance) can be considered.

 

 

Job Profile for Office Assistant

 

  • Administering general secretarial activities (e.g. scheduling, taking minutes of meeting, expense claims).
  • Planning, organising and making travel arrangements.
  • Assisting with preparation of financial reports/ correspondence.
  • Act as a team assistant when required.
  • Maintaining filing and archiving.
  • Reviewing incoming mail and prepare outgoing correspondence.
  • Updating, maintaining and creating dossiers.
  • Contact with banks / finance companies (national and international) arranging appointments in order to provide and receive information.

 

Legal duties:

 

  • Prepare and administrate the registration of clients with the chamber of commerce.
  • Prepare and maintain files of legal correspondence, letters and documentation.
  • Prepare standard legal documents in preparation for liquidation of clients.
  • Conduct research into legal issues as required.

 

 

Candidate Profile for Office Assistant

 

  • Fluent Dutch and English (both written and spoken) is a must.
  • Ability to produce professional correspondence in English and Dutch (both written and verbal).
  • Secretarial education or equivalent is essential.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a legal working environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (particularly Excel, Access and Powerpoint).
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • High attention for accuracy and detail.
  • Flexible and ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to work under time pressure.
  • Team player and able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willing to develop in a legal environment.
