Our international client is specialising in offshore engineering, mainly for the oil & gas and energy industry. They are currently looking for a Planning Engineer/Project Manager. The Planning Engineer/Project Manager will plan, monitor and evaluate/re-plan activities on projects, aligned with the client requirements, project plan, planning principles and guidelines, in order to support project management and production management realising project results within schedule.

Analyse client and project requirements related to project planning, propose, identify and define logical project breakdown and draft global planning for projects.

Identify and address (potential) bottlenecks in planning execution and conduct additional analysis when needed.

Early identification of extra-ordinary contract requirements related to planning and (potential) planning conflicts.

Mange the client and company/production requirements, update the dates agreed upon and define contract planning, set up planning formats and progress control system.

Collect data on progress, review progress against planning, identify planning bottlenecks and (potential) delays as well as potential time-saving measures.

Check and monitor detailed schedules, analyze man power and advice on timing of requisitions, ensure interfaces with internal and external parties to address and resolve potential issues.

Securing efficient planning and facilitation of efficient execution of activities on projects in relation to man hours and material control.

Makes suggestions, give input to improve existing methods, systems and procedures.

Responsible for accurate reporting in the project planning system as well as reporting to the Project Manager.
Planning Engineer/Project Manager Candidate Profile

Must be fluent in Dutch and English.

Has studied at a Technical University and has obtained a degree in Offshore. Engineering or Civil Engineering.

Previous experience in a similar role.

Excellent knowledge of relevant planning methods and relevant software.

Previous experience from oil and gas industry, offshore or a similar industry.
