The responsibility of the Business Developer is to develop long term client relationships. It is a fast paced role in a change-oriented culture. This position is entrepreneurial in nature, requiring strong business and analytical skills. The Business Developer has the responsibility for expanding the business in his/her assigned market. As the primary vehicle for generating new business, the Business Developers fuel Blue Lynx’s growth and profitability.
The Business Developer needs the ability to identify key prospects, assess needs, enhance relationships and communicate effectively. They must possess the drive to exceed expectations in this type of market. He/she has the ability to think creatively and use problem-solving skills to assure meeting prospect and/or client needs.
Essential experience: proven track record within a recruitment environment/solutions sales environment or B2B sales environment.
Profile
- Previous experience in business development and the professional services industry; proven ability to acquire and build a strong client base, servicing each account to the fullest extent.
- Enthusiastic, open, honest and driven personality with the intellectual know-how to act as a valuable business partner to industry professionals.

This profession-specific arm of the Blue Lynx Group specialises in recruiting accountancy and finance positions. You will be expected to work with our existing client base and be responsible for business development and candidate attraction. Working in partnership with Finance Managers and/or departments,you will be expected to provide qualified accountancy staff, advice and support to a demanding and changing client portfolio.
To be considered for these positions we would ask that you have a minimum of two years recruitment experience (ideally twelve months minimum as a Senior Recruitment Consultant) and be an excellent communicator. You must be comfortable within a commercial role and, able to build client- and candidate relations and you have the drive to develop into a team leader, developing a team from the front. Experience of setting targets, working to KPI's and quality management systems would also be highly advantageous.
